Climbing
South Tyrol's first climbing facility at a dam retaining wall is unique: The Zufritt Dam Lake in the Martell Valley has played an important role in energy generation since the 1950s. Starting on August 1, 2015, it has also drawn the attention of all climbing enthusiasts, both young and old. That's because a unique climbing wall was set up on its retaining wall!
The high walls boast different 35 climbing routes with levels of difficulty ranging from 4a to 7c. Thus, not only advanced climbers and adults can test their mettle – even children and beginners can join in on the fun! The climbing facility is thus an ideal option for family outings. Once special feature: Two climbing routes are 80 meters long – i.e., four lengths of rope.
The climbing facility at the retaining wall is open daily for business from June to September, from 9:00 a.m. till 9:30 p.m. – and on Wednesday and Friday, from 9:00 a.m. till 11:00 p.m.
